Foreign Minister calls Saudi counterpart, reiterates support for Saudi efforts for peace in the region

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi called on his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan and praised Saudi Arabia's role in resolving differences between the GCC countries.

According to a Foreign Office spokesman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi contacted the Saudi Foreign Minister and reiterated his support for Saudi efforts for peace and prosperity in the region.

According to the spokesman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi also reiterated Pakistan's support for the integrity of Saudi Arabia.

The spokesman said the Saudi foreign minister thanked Saudi Arabia for Pakistan's continued support.

During the telephone conversation, the two Foreign Ministers agreed to continue high-level bilateral contacts.
